  Marilyn Praisner Memorial Golf Tournament
In honor of the late Montgomery County Councilmember, Marilyn Praisner, The First Tee’s Fall Classic Golf Tournament has been renamed as The First Tee’s Marilyn Praisner Memorial Golf Tournament. Marilyn was a friend, advocate and mentor to the organization. The board of directors and staff cannot think of a better way to honor Marilyn than continue to grow The First Tee so that all the county’s young residents can learn and embrace the core values and enjoyment of golf.

The tournament will be Monday, September 13th at Laytonsville Golf Course. It is a 1 o’clock shot gun start. Dinner will be provided by Mamma Lucia. The Hole-in-One contest is sponsored by Eurocars Germantown. There will be Longest Drive, Closet to the Pin and fabulous raffle prizes. Last year, prizes included, but were not limited to, gift certificates from Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club, Blue Mash Golf Club, P.B. Dye Golf Course, Blacks Restaurant Group, Washington Nationals tickets, Urban BBQ and Bethesda Golf & Tennis.

National School Program

Each Labor Day weekend, The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach showcases the talent and character of young people who participate at The First Tee facilities worldwide. 
Future Leaders Forum

Each year, The First Tee home office invites 50 participants to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida to attend the Future Leaders Forum. For three days, the future leaders attend hands-on, interactive sessions in customer service, PGA TOUR tournament management, agronomy, researching colleges, and educational requirements for chosen career fields.
RBS Achievers of Year


The First Tee and The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) have partnered to create the RBS Achievers of the Year Award, recognizing outstanding participants for succeeding in school and their daily lives as a result of their experience with The First Tee.
The First Tee Life Skills Academies

Every summer, selected participants of The First Tee attend the Life Skills & Leadership Academy, where they play championship golf, participate in life skills activities and career exploration, experience dorm living and meet a wide variety of young people from across the country.
